They are 100% inspected and retapped. When using a reptap process outside of the manufacturer, special care should be taken not to remove coating or metal from the threads. Several of the top teams in NASCAR use KRC lug nuts and studs. Through June 22, 2008, KRC lug nuts have been in the Sprint Cup Winner Circle 8 times, 11 times in Nationwide Series and 9 times in the Craftsman Truck Series. Although we do not recommend retapping of our product and want to emphasize this process can be detrimental to the integrity of our product if not performed correctly.   See Ya in the Winners Circle!
