A
BOYS WISH COMES TRUE!
Austin
Irwin of Greenfield, MO, son of Melissa Pride and Wilber
Irwin and the cousin of Mike Baldwin, a long time KRC employee,
was the "Make A Wish Foundation" recipient and got
the pleasure of being grand marshal of the 3M Performance 400
NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday
August 17th, 2008. Austin got the honor of giving the famous command
"Gentlemen, Start your engines" in front of thousands of
race fans. Austin was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 7 and was
sent to St. Louis, MO to a hospital were he had surgery and spend the
next several months. He was contacted by "Make A Wish
Foundation" while he was there and had one wish, to meet Jeff
Gordon. They arranged for Austin to have a 30 minute, face to face
meeting with Jeff Gordon. He also got to meet other drivers, such as,
Greg Biffle and received autographs and other memorabilia.
"Austin is cancer free, " Melissa said. "He is
now 12 and a 6th grader at Greenfield Elementary." Click the
link below to learn more about "Make A Wish Foundation" and
find out ways you can help make other peoples wishes come true like Austin's.

MEET
THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Alex
Tourian is no stranger to Kluhsman Machine Inc. Her father, Mel Kluhsman,
gave her the opportunity at a young age to work in the growing
company. During high school, her summers were spent at the plant
working wherever she was needed. This entailed everything from
working on the shop floor, to planning trade shows that showcased
Kluhsman Racing Components entire product line. She also organized
direct mail and telemarketing campaigns, and follow ups with
potential and present clients. Since graduating in 2005 from
Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors in Business
Administration, Alex has been back at KMI working as the Internet
Commerce Director and Sales Representative for some of the company's
newest and most innovative products. She also manages all of our
company travel arrangements, which can be an immense task if you
have ever been to a NASCAR event! She resides in Weather ford,
Oklahoma with her husband Rouben Tourian of three years. If you have
any questions for her, or about the company, please contact Alex
directly at alex@krcracing.com.
