2008 PIT CREW CHALLENGE
It was a sold out crowd at the Time Warner Cable Bobcat Arena on Thursday May 15, 2008 at the 2008 Pit Crew Challenge. The 20 NASCAR teams are seeded based on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner point standings as of May 13, 2008. Teams compete in four head to head runs to get the fastest time and hope for no penalties. KRC has worked with JHE and has supplied all the lug nuts and studs for the pit challenge the last 4 years. Mel Kluhsman and Hailey Ross of KRC attended the event to see who would be taking home the $70,675.00 purse that was up for grabs for the Championship Team. This year Team Red Bull prevailed in the challenge with no penalties throughout the whole competition. Team Red Bull has been affiliated with Kluhsman Racing Components for several years using some of our products such as lug nuts, studs, stud beater and our stud chaser. KRC would like to congratulate pit coach Greg Miller and Team Red Bull #83/#84 on the Pit Challenge Win!
